Abstract
We propose a novel sunlight readable transmissive LCD embedded with a transflective film. Such a transflective film has high transmission to the backlight and high reflection to the ambient light. This new display is particularly suitable for outdoor applications under strong ambient light condition. © 2012 IEEE.
