Photo-Thermo-Refractive Glass Fibers
Abstract
We demonstrate the first low-loss optical fiber made from photo-thermo-refractive (PTR) glass. Fiber Bragg gratings with efficiencies exceeding 99% were recorded and did not deteriorate after 12 hour exposure to temperatures above 400 °C. © OSA 2013.
