Title
Scaling Bottlenecks In Thulium-Doped Fiber Lasers
Abstract
Thulium offers novel applications at 2 μm, and with continued developments, peak and average powers will increase to that of rival rare-earth dopants. Limitations that impede growth are namely; nonlinearities, thermal management, and fiberized components. © OSA 2013.
