Highly Nonlinear Robust Step-Index Chalcogenide Nanotapers For Octave-Spanning Supercontinuum Generation
Abstract
We fabricate highly nonlinear and mechanically robust step-index chalcogenide nanotapers with high index contrast for stable mid-infrared supercontinuum generation. By pumping the nanotapers with low peak-power pulses, one-octave of spectral broadening was generated. © 2013 The Optical Society.
