Title

Preliminary Framework For Aligning Organizational Change

Keywords

Change management; Organizational change; Systematic change

Abstract

Successful organizational change has been heavily addressed in the literature. Authors and researchers have proposed many models for successful change, yet organizations still report that 70% of their change initiatives fail. To successfully implement change, this research paper proposes aligning two factors, the change type and change method. It uses matrices in translating required change methods for each change type based in the needed success factors. This research paper proposes aligning the change type and the change method to find the effect on a third factor, the change outcome. New researchers can use this paper to analyze the relationship between the change types, methods, outcomes in the literature. Managers can use it to select the best implementation method that would maximize the probability of successful outcomes.
