Title
Meshless Solution Of Laminar Flow In A 2D Backward-Facing Step
Keywords

Abstract
A meshless procedure for 2D incompressible laminar flows is presented. The velocity-pressure coupling is done with the flow equations in their original form and no approximations or simplifications are done in the boundary conditions. Additionally, all needed interpolations are done with the effective Radial-Based Functions (RBF). The method is tested with the 2D backward-facing step and this new procedure predicts correctly the transition stage, in which the reattachment decreases and stabilizes as the flow enters in the turbulent regime. © 2013 WIT Press.
