Extremely Nondegenerate Enhancement Of Third-Order Nonlinearities In Semiconductors
Abstract
Semiconductors show enhanced two-photon absorption (2PA) and nonlinear refraction (n2) when the photons have greatly different energies, ND. We measure ND-2PA spectra and ND-n2 and discuss potential applications including a possible 2-photon laser.
