Title
Factors Influence Data Management Models Selection
Abstract
Data Management Models selection (Centralized Data Model or Federated Data Model) for managing organization data is influenced by many factors. This paper explains 21 factors that are useful to select an architectural model. Information technology leaders must understand the impact of factors such as cost, quality, and availability on the model selections. The study indicates that all factors except for Training, Reliability, Scalability, and Maintainability were found to be significantly contributed to the selection of the Data Management architectural model. © American Society for Engineering Education, 2014.
