A Robust And Systematic Approach To Multiband Antenna Design For Operation On Complex Platforms Under Geometry Modification

Abstract
The paper presents a robust and systematic strategy for handling the problem of platform modification, which requires a retuning of the antenna designed to cover multiple frequency bands. We show that the key is to design the antenna with multiple arms such that varying the parameters of the arms can systematically retune the antenna in different bands, when such retuning is needed as the geometry of the platform itself is modified by the designer.
