20-Fold Pulse Compression Down To 3-Cycles In A 3 M Long Hollow-Core Fiber
Abstract
We demonstrate 20-fold pulse compression by employing a 3-m-long argon-filled hollow-core fiber and chirped mirrors. The incident 1 mJ, 185 fs pulses at 1030 nm are compressed to 0.65 mJ, 9 fs (3-cycles) pulses.
