Abstract
The present chapter provides the opportunity for the co-editors of this book to speculate on how the healthcare industry and management of that industry must or may change to accommodate future challenges. In the future, we will experience both evolutionary and revolutionary changes in all countries as we struggle to balance the necessity for enhanced patient access and quality with the need to contain costs. Such pressures will be particularly acute in developing countries in managing these goals with an aging population and workforce.
