Simultaneous Measurement Of Strain And Temperature Using High Sensitivity Multicore Fiber Sensors
Keywords
Optical fiber sensors; Sensitivity; Strain; Temperature measurement; Temperature sensors
Abstract
We demonstrate strain sensors consisting of multicore fiber spliced between two single mode fibers, with increased sensitivity to a factor of 12x a standard FBG. Simultaneous decoupling of strain and temperature measurements are also demonstrated.
