Enhanced Sensitivity In Parity-Time-Symmetric Microcavity Sensors
Abstract
The sensitivity of microcavities used for particle detection is at best proportional to the perturbation (ε). Here we propose a novel microresonator sensor using exceptional points in PT-symmetric arrangements showing an enhanced sensitivity (ε1/2). © 2015 OSA.
