Abstract
Breastcancer is themost commonlydiagnosed canceramongwomenworldwide and themost common cause of cancer death in women. The most common presentationofbreast cancer is thepresenceofapalpable mass, whether noted by the patient during breast selfexaminationornotedduringclinicalbreastexamination. There are a variety of imagingmodalities now available for theevaluationofapalpableabnormality.Athorough understanding of the indications, risks, and benefits can help the clinician guide the patient through an appropriate, comprehensive imaging work up.
