Optical Rheology Of Blood During Cardiovascular Surgery
Abstract
We developed an optical technique capable of measuring in-vivo the coagulation status of blood. This technique is fiber optic-based, non-invasive, and permits continuous, in-line assessment of blood condition during clinical procedures such as cardiovascular surgery.
