System For Medical Photoacoustic Image Processing
Abstract
In this work, we employ a pattern recognition approach to study medical images for tumor identification and extraction in order to detect the particular area where the tumor is present. The ultimate goal is to incorporate this information into real-time systems for image acquisition in order to improve medical diagnosis. Preliminary results show that the approach followed here is appropriate for this purpose.
