Space-Division Multiplexing For Pon Applications
Abstract
The spatial degrees of freedom afforded in few-mode and/or multi-core fibers can potentially be utilized to improve the performance of passive-optical networks. Optical and signalprocessing techniques for managing crosstalk for PON in a cost-effective manner are presented.
