A New Single-Cell Measurement Method For Determining The Twist Elastic Constant Of Liquid Crystals
Keywords
Liquid crystal; Measurement; Twist elastic constant
Abstract
A semi-empirical equation is developed to characterize the optical decay time of in-plane switching (IPS) and fringe field switching (FFS) liquid crystal displays. Good agreement between simulation and experiment is obtained Moreover, this equation provides a simple yet accurate method to measure the twist elastic constant K22 of liquid crystals.
