Long-Haul Transmission Over Multi-Core Fibers With Coupled Cores
Abstract
Coupled-core multicore fibers provide significant advantages for long-haul high capacity fiber optics communication: Cores with large effective areas can be densely packed, and show a better tolerance to nonlinear effects compared to single-mode fibers with equivalent cores.
