Teaching & Learning with AI
Alternative Title
Course design for thinking IN AN ai-enabled environment
Description
This workshop explores how faculty can design courses that promote critical thinking in an AI-enabled learning environment. Instead of focusing on AI as the problem, thus session examines how assignment design, structured learning experiences, and reflection can create cognitive engagement before analysis begins. Using examples from a strategic management course, participants will explore ways to move students beyond AI-generated responses toward evidence-based reasoning, judgment, and decision-making. The workshop introduces a practical framework for designing assignments that make thinking visible and encourage students to use AI as a tool for learning rather than a substitute for thinking.
