A photo of construction of the library in 1967. In the foreground is 1960 Chevrolet Station wagon and a few pine trees; the library and a construction crane can be seen in the background. They have completed the concrete frame for the third floor. The original design of the library was split level, with what is not the 1st floor having an entrance (in the rear), as well as the 2nd floor having an entrance (in the front). When the library was expanded in 1984, the rear entrance was done away with, and the 1st floor essentially became the basement.
