Description
Rising Against All Odds, Inc., (RAAO) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization specializing in HIV and hepatitis C testing, education, and the prevention and treatment of these infections in West Volusia County, Florida. With an emphasis on collaboration, complexity, and experience, RAAO operates with the expressed purpose of removing barriers to treatment for the most neglected populations within its community. While this work is a personal reflection on working with a nonprofit, and RAAO in particular, the key takeaway of this project is to highlight the invaluable nature of the life-saving services provided by HIV testing centers, and Rising Against All Odds, Inc.
