Description
This portfolio examines health and well-being through a cross-cultural lens, by analyzing how traditional practices and modern scientific methods influence a cultural understanding of wellness. By analyzing artifacts such as a poem on Tai Chi, a photo of Ojibwe Jingle Dresses, and research on exercise and depression, the different cultural understandings of healthcare are explored. It also reflects on how different perspectives influence attitudes toward well-being, especially among diverse populations, such as LGBTQ+ youth. By incorporating both psychology and exercise science, this work stresses the importance of cultural awareness in promoting global health
