Announcement and Call for Papers

The 2nd USA-China Tourism Research Summit now invites submissions in English or Chinese for stand-up presentations relevant to the following themes/topics within the domain of USA-China hospitality and tourism (papers in the context of Chinese tourism and/or in the domain of the USA tourism will be applicable)

  • Social media (e.g., WeChat) and emerging technologies (e.g., virtual reality, 3-D postcards) in destination marketing and management
  • Policy, planning, and governance
  • Marketing, branding and reputation management
  • Human resources management and strategic leadership development
  • Innovation, creativity and change management
  • Education and training
  • Tourism economics and forecasting
  • Financial and performance management
  • Emerging research methods and methodologies
  • Other topics of contemporary significance in hospitality and tourism with an USA-China focus

Important Deadlines (All in US Eastern Standard Time/EST):

  • Abstract submission: 11:59pm EST, June 16th, 2017
  • Author notification: 11:59pm EST, August 31st, 2017

Best Paper Awards:

Two best paper awards (one for English submission and one for Chinese submission) will be recommended by reviewers and then competitively selected by Paper Review Committee.
