Walter W. S. Cook (wearing shorts) walks with another companion towards the marina on North Cat Cay, Bimini, Bahamas. Cook, who was the founding director of the Institute of Fine Arts at New York University, served as an art professor from 1932 to 1953, and was historian of Medieval Spanish art. North Cat Cay was purchased in 1931 by Louis Wasey as a private island and is presently (2013) owned by members of the Cat Cay Yacht Club. In the image, the area near the walkway is planted with palm trees. Various types of boats and yachts are docked in the marina. Slide labeled Bryant Cat Cay, Mar '46.
