Part of the “sugar works” yard at the Good Hope Plantation in Trelawny, Jamaica. Sugar cane would be processed in the sugar mill and the juice would then be carried across the river in an aqueduct which ran along the bridge to the factory, where sugar was made. In the foreground of the image is a stone wall and wire fence. Slide labeled Bridge Hope Plantation.
