Prior to 2011, there were only two international airports in Jamaica, Norman Manley International Airport (NMIA) located in Kingston and Sangster International Airport (SIA) located in Montego Bay. NMIA was originally named Palisadoes Airport and was renamed for Jamaica’s second Chief Minister and national hero Norman Washington Manley. The SIA airport was originally named Montego Bay Airport. It was renamed for Jamaica’s second prime minister Sir Donald Sangster. This image shows an airplane wing and aerial view of Jamaica. Slide labeled approach to Jamaica.
