    People gathered on the dock near Cruz Bay, Saint John. Some tourists are standing with their luggage, while others carry brown paper bags filled with goods. Nearby is a sailboat filled with cargo. The major way to reach Saint John is by ferry. As a result, there is regular ferry service from Saint John to Saint Thomas. The ferry route from Red Hook, Saint Thomas to Cruz Bay, Saint John is the shortest route, as Cruz Bay has the main terminal on Saint John. Cruz Bay is also Saint John’s main town and home to the Virgin Islands National Park (VINP) visitor center. The VINP encompasses more than 7,000 acres on the north and central portions of Saint John and is run by the United States National Park Service. Slide labeled Cruz Bay St Johns Virgin Islands.
