On December 28, 1946, the Municipality of Saint Thomas and Saint John acquired Magens Bay Beach, now a park, from Arthur S. Fairchild. The Magens Bay Authority manages the park which is used for public recreation in accordance with Fairchild’s wishes. The park includes 68 acres with a one mile beach, a 6 acre arboretum, 15 acres of mangroves and wetlands, and more. Slide labeled Magens Bay St Thomas.
