    People walking and passing automobiles parked along Main Street in Charlotte Amalie, Saint Thomas. Retail stores include Sparky’s Liquors Ltd., the Beretta shopping center, Tropicana Perfume Shoppe, and Hay’s Store. Alfred “Sparky” Puritz founded Sparky’s Liquors Ltd., which merged with Host International in 1972. In this image, a Volkswagen Beetle automobile drives pass a man with a hand cart as he stands next to a Sparky’s Liquor delivery van. Many of the buildings include Danish architectural elements for example the Tropicana Perfume Shoppe building which as of 2013 has closed its business.
