Kingstown, known as the “City of Arches,” is the capital of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. On the right side of the image is the white tower of Saint George's Cathedral. Consecrated in 1820, Saint George’s is a Georgian style Anglican church and mother church for the Diocese of the Windward Islands. Nearby are the gothic towers of Saint Mary's Roman Catholic Cathedral of the Assumption, built in 1823. Saint Mary’s, influenced by a mix of various architectural styles, also serves as the mother church of the Diocese of Kingstown in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. In the center of the image is a Revival Hall. In the foreground are small boats in the water and people along the shoreline.
