Description

A black and white image of an early college marching band performing on the lawn in front of White Hall at Bethune-Cookman University. In the background of the image is White Hall, which is two stories and has a brick exterior, a white columned entrance, and a sign hanging from the entrance reading, "White Hall." In the foreground of the image is the marching band, which consists of male students that are standing in three lines. The students are all wearing suits and ties. The first student standing in the first row at the left is holding an American flag. The student standing in the second row in the middle of the photo is holding a baton and probably directs the band. The remaining students are carrying a variety of instruments: drums, trombones, trumpets, French horns, and saxophones. The photo was taken by L. R. Davidson of the Daytona News-Journal.
