Description

A black and white image of two male students learning automotive repair through the vocation school at Bethune-Cookman University. The students are trying to repair a car that has a cloth roof and is very dirty. One student is sitting in the front seat with a large round pipe in his hand, and is looking at the ceiling of the car. The other student is kneeling at the front right tire, hammer in hand, trying to hammer out a dent in the front wheel well. Under the car to the right of him is a jack. Two toolboxes sit on the ground around him. The car is sitting in a garage someonewhere on campus. A counter with supplies can be seen at the right of the image. On the back of the image is the following description: "Vocational school, 1950s, Auto mechanics." The photographer of the image is unknown.
