The student is sitting at the left of the image, and she is wearing a nurses' hat, apron, and she is reading from a book that has been placed on a small table. The elderly woman is sitting in a rocking chair at the right of the image. She is holding onto a cane and is wearing a shawl and headwrap. In the background of the image is the exterior of the elderly woman's house. Written on the front of the image is, "Daytona Industrial School nurse visiting outside patient." On the back of the photograph is a place for correspondence, address, and a stamp. The photographer of the image is unknown.
