New map of Florida, 1879 issued by the Commissioner of the Bureau of Immigration for Florida. Includes inset plans of government survey, and steamship lines from Europe via New York to Florida. Solid red lines denote chartered railroads, and dashed red lines denote ship lines. Map also contains Florida topography. Map scale 1:2,090,880. Tapped onto the back of the map is the map cover page, which is a graphic print image of Florida marshland with a cornucopia set in the bottom right hand corner. Stated on the cover page is: Florida as it is: Issued by the Commissioner of the Bureau of Immigration for Florida.
