Description

May 19, 1968:The nave of the sanctuary and the north transept ( to the left, but not visible) are filled with worshipers to celebrate the installation of Rev. John Kucharik as the 2nd pastor in the 55 year history of the congregation. Rev. Stephen M. Tuhy passed away on December 26, 1967 (after 33 years of ministry to St. Luke's) and the congregation called Pastor John Kucharik to succeed him. Interestingly, Rev. JOSEPH Kucharik (the new pastor's father) had also served St. Luke's as a "visiting pastor" in the early 1930s.
