Rev. John Bajus, who as a younger man, had served St. Luke's as a vicar, in the era before the congregation had its own pastor. His relationship with St. Luke's continued for the remainder of his life. After his graduation from Seminary, he was called to serve as Pastor of Zion Lutheran Church, Chicago(later relocated to Norridge, IL.),
