Description

Rev. Carl H. Toelke joined the newly-developed Pastoral Team in 1978 to assist Pastor John Kucharik with his work in serving the needs of the growing congregation. Pastor Toelke and his wife, Josephine, were retired and living at the Lutheran Haven when he was called to assist with preaching and counseling at St. Luke's for the next several years. He was born in Parma, OH in 1911 and passed away in FL on October 23, 1987. His widow, Josephine, remained at their home at the Lutheran Haven until her own death in 1994. Both are buried in St. Luke's Cemetery, Slavia, FL.
