Description
Various images of Richard Wallace, who served as Principal, administrator and teacher for Luther High School(later known as Orlando Luther) for about a decade beginning in 1985-86. Having served as a Presidential appointee on the prestigious National Commission on Excellence in Education (which produced the white paper, "In Search of Excellence"), Wallace also brought valuable experience in revitalizing other Lutheran High Schools in the midwest. He will be remembered for his humility, his extraordinary personal commitment to "saving the school" during a precarious point in its history and his deep love and concern for the students and faculty. The school publication ("Shield") was dedicated to his name twice during his tenure at the school.
