Description

Ivan (Bo) Jakubcin and Joan Brown were married in St. Luke's newly expanded brick church on June 30, 1957. The wedding party (shown standing in the new chancel) consisted of (left to right): JoAnn Fleming Ward. Peggy Fleming, Elena Tuhy, Lillian Jakubcin Abell. Emily Jakubcin, the bride and groom, Milan Jakubcin, George Jakubcin, Jr., Ferdinand (Zeke) Jakubcin, Tom Brown, and Robert L. Ward. Flower girl on left is Debbie Jakubcin, the other is unidentified. Following the ceremony, guests walked to the school auditorium nearby and enjoyed food served at the reception while seated at long tables. Neither the new sanctuary nor the auditorium were air-conditioned in 1957.
