Paul, Sr.(wearing hat) and Maria 'nee Klimek Lukas with their three sons: Paul, Jr. at right, young Milton (Miroslav), and baby Daniel, in his mother's arms; daughter, Mary, stands to the right of her mother. Gentleman in suit is unidentified. c. 1926. The Lukas family's new home was built from sand blocks made by Paul Lukas...one by one. Until the home was completed, the family lived in the barn nearby. The house also included a cellar, one of only two in Slavia.
