Description
The Lukas Family erected a barn (c. 1915-20) in which they could live while Paul Lukas, Sr. created enough sand blocks to build a proper house several years later. The barn still stands on the original Lukas homestead. A digital image, taken in 2015, shows that the lines of the original structure are still recognizable, although improvements have, of necessity, been made over the past century.
