Description

St. Luke's congregation celebrated the 75th anniversary of its founding (March 17, 1912) on January 25, 1987 with a special morning worship service (Dr. Albert Marcis, homilist) and coffee hour. Another festival anniversary service on March 22, 1987 (homilist: Dr. Edward Westcott), followed by a mid-day banquet in Founders Hall. Photos and program materials show that much preparation was done for this event, which featured wall art created by Ruth Wiedenmann, a program emceed by Rev. Paul Hoyer and a slide presentation ("Visions")following the festive, catered meal. The congregation gathered outside the brick church for an aerial group photo.
