Description

The wedding ceremony for Steven Sidlik and Patricia Short took place at 2pm on August 15, 1992 in St. Luke's gymnasium (Founders Hall). Because a large portion of the brick church had been demolished to make space for a large new sanctuary, already under construction, the gymnasium was used for worship services and all other church events during this multi-year period. But this wedding was special to the people of St. Luke's for other reasons: the groom had served as a teacher in St. Luke's School since 1955 and the bride was a secretary in the church office. The entire congregation was invited to share the couple's joy at the ceremony and at a reception which followed at the Lutheran Haven Fellowship Hall. Rev. E. J. Rossow officiated at the ceremony
