Description

The Baptismal Certificate for Miroslav Andrej (Milton Andrew) Lukas (b.Sept. 28, 1921 - d. Dec. 22, 1982), who was baptized in the original wood church by Vicar John Bajus on March 25, 1924. At this time, the congregation had only occasional services of visiting pastors and vicars, so the baptism of healthy infants was sometimes deferred until a Slovak Lutheran clergyman could be present. Godparents for young Miroslav were Martin and Juliana Stanko. George (Sr.) and Anna Jakubcin served as witnesses to the Christening of the child.
