Description

A black and white image of a bedroom in Bethune House. In the right-hand corner of the image is a dresser with a pitcher and wash basin. A small cup with a toothbrush can be seen to the right of it. Along the wall to the left of the basin is a roll-top desk with books lined up on its flat top. The table to the left of the desk is covered in a tablecloth and has photographs of unknown individuals on top. A large window is situated along the back wall, and from which hangs curtains. In the left-hand corner of the room is a vanity dresser, with a large mirror. Toiletries and photographs sit on the top. Along the left wall is a smaller window with the same curtain pattern as the larger window. At the left of the image is a wire-frame bed with pillows and a light-colored blanket. Two wicker rocking chairs are in the room. Hanging on the walls are varieties of artwork. A single lightbulb hangs from the center of the ceiling. The image is taped to a matting board. The photographer of the image is unknown.
