Description

A black and white image of a Bethune-Cookman College parade float manned by the B-CC International Club. The float is being towed by a small car, which is partially visible at the left of the image. The float has six African American women on it, who are dressed in high heels, animal-print dresses, and sunglasses. On the front of the float are two flags, one of the being an American flag. The two women riding in the front are standing next to a large cluster of small palm bushes. The float has a large fixture in the middle which has a lion printed on it. On the side of the float it is decorated with the name "B-CC International Club." The car and float are riding down the street. In the background can be seen another road, lined with palm trees. On the right side of the float are people watching the parade, who are standing next to bicycles. At the very left of the image is a person standing on a step. At the top left of the image is a hanging street light. Two road signs are visible. One reads "Keep Right," and the other reads, "Speed Limit 35." On the back of the image is written "Homecoming parade float 1972."
