Interprets recent policy reforms in education as being rooted in psychological processes associated with narcissistic parenting wherein the following behavioral patterns prevail: expectations for perfection, grandiose sense of superiority and entitlement, relentless fault-finding, projection of personal fantasies, absence of empathy, preoccupation with control, conditional approval, and well-intentioned view of own motives; suggests alternatives that respect and trust children more.
