- There is a new faculty lecture series, Lifelong Learning Lectures
- Charitable donation items were collected for the Knights Pantry, Supply Zone for Teachers, and SPCA of Brevard
- There are 3 new ways to receive IT support
- Direct Connect celebrated its 10th anniversary
- The Writing Center expanded its hours.

- Psi Chi, psychology honor society, hosted a psychology research conference in Palm Bay

- Knights Helping Knights Pantry will be opening in Cocoa
- Dr. Lauren Miller and Sheryl Schagen were interviewed by Brevard Business News about UCF's new Integrated Business program
- A school supply drive was hosted to benefit Brevard County Public School's Supply Zone for Teachers
- Free flu shots will be offered to students on November 9 in Cocoa

-The Speech Team qualified students for seven events in the NFA national tournament
-The Cocoa campus hosted a viewing of Dr. Robert Cassanello and Dr. Lisa Mill's documentary, The Committee
-The College of Nursing graduating seniors had a 100% pass rate on the NCLEX for the 5th year in a row
-The new Pathways project began for Direct Connect Students
-The Cocoa & Palm Bay campuses surpassed last year's efforts in support of The Children's Hunger Project and the Central Brevard Sharing Center -

-The Student Services office is now located with Academic Advising in suite 203
-NID and NID password replaced PID/PID password as the login credentails for most university sites including MyUCF and library databases -

- Two Palm Bay Psychology students were awarded second place at the Showcase for Undergraduate Research in April. Two other psychology students won Honorable Mentions
- Leandra Preston-Sidler was the keynote speaker for University of South Florida’s Service-Learning Day
- Palm Bay Early Childhood Development and Education program students collaborated with a UCF Holmes Partnership research project at McAuliffe Elementary

- Two Brown Bag Luncheon lectures were held in Cocoa and broadcast to the Palm Bay campus
- The 2012 holiday charities were the Central Brevard Sharing Center and The Children’s Hunger Project

- Al Davis, Business Services Office Manager, was recognized as the UCF April Employee of the Month
- 21 faculty and staff members attended the Diversity Certificate Series “The Rise and Fall of Jim Crow”
- Dr. Karen Mottarella, Psychology, won the 2012 Undergraduate Mentor of the Year Award
- For the 2011 Holiday season, the region donated presents to Connected by 25

- 31 Cocoa Nursing seniors graduated in August four of which had Honors in the Major recognition
- The BCC/UCF Joint Use Library in Palm Bay was chosen as the cover image for Choice Magazine

- UCF Speech Team founded on Cocoa campus
- Collegiate Day introduced dual-enrolled high school students to UCF
- The Cocoa campus partnered with local law enforcement to host “Put Down UR Cell Phone” which featured a driving simulator
- Mary Kalen Romjue retired from teaching after 18 years at UCF and 48 total years of teaching
- Court Watch Brevard, founded by UCF Cocoa student Nancy St. George, received accolades from UCF Today

- Florida Department of Transportation installed six new UCF directional signs on I95
- The UCF Professional Masters of Business Administration completed another cohort on the Palm Bay campus
- Dr. Bill Wilmot received the first Pizza for Peace Diversity Certificate of Completion for completing 5 Pizza for Peace film workshops

- Four Nursing students were recognized for Honors in the Major
- Cocoa campus chapter of National Student Speech-Language-Hearing Association held a children’s festival in honor of Better Speech and Hearing Month
