Abstract
This study analyzed articles edited in courses at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF) and the University of Central Florida (UCF). UCSF students received instruction on the Hemingway Editor, while UCF students did not. Readability was assessed using the Flesch-Kincaid Grade Level (FKGL), Simple Measure of Gobbledygook (SMOG), and Coleman-Liau Index (CLI) scores.
